The composer would like to thank all of the amazing artists who have very graciously lent their time and talent to this project. The music samples below are compressed (unmixed) demo recordings that will soon be heard in their full beauty on the demo CD.
Oh Mother:
At dawn on her 21st birthday, Sally visits her mother's grave and sings of her loneliness, her lack of opportunity and above all, about how much she misses her mother. She wonders aloud, "Is this really all that God had in mind for me?"

We Only Do As We're Told:
After being rebuffed by Donald and threatened by the Dutchman, Mad Jack Kelly decides to check out the Dutchman's ship for himself. As he arrives, he hears a ghostly incantation emanating from within.

Another Ship: (Chorus)
A church bell rings, signifying a ship is in trouble; the villagers assemble and watch as yet another ship burns in the distance. They sing a mournful chorus decrying their fate and asking God for mercy.

The Dutchman's Lament: (Ciaran Sheehan)
Just as another seven years are up and the Dutchman may again tread upon dry land, fate throws him a curve. When left alone on the deck of Donald's ship, the Dutchman finds a locket Donald dropped. He opens it and sees the picture of Sally. Scornfully he asks God if this is a coincidence or another game.

Homeward Bound: (Chorus)
After making his pact with the Dutchman, Donald shares the good news with his crew. In celebration, they sing a rousing chorus.

Won't You Dance With Me: (Rita Harvey)
While her Dad desperately wants Sally to "like" the Dutchman, she doesn't like being told what to do. Still, to appease her father, she agrees to a dance with the mysterious Dutchman - but...just a dance! In spite of herself, things get a bit more hot and bothered than she expected.

That Face:
The Dutchman is strangely drawn to the portrait of Sally that hangs in Donald's den. His world is rocked when he learns from her Grandmother that the portrait is in fact not Sally at all.

Eric's Return:
Upon his return to town, Eric regales Maggie and Emma with a tale of his travels, but his story is interrupted by the appearance of a ship in the harbor and the exciting news that Donald has returned.

Tell Your Dreams to Me: (Ciaran Sheehan and Rita Harvey)
After a steamy encounter on the dance floor, the Dutchman and Sally stroll on the beach. There is an immediate attraction. But as he pressures her to see him again, despite her obvious feelings, a little voice tells Sally to be careful.

Can She Love A Man Like Me?: (William Michals and Ciaran Sheehan)
Eric, Sally's former intended witnesses their tryst on the beach and is despondent. Alone on opposite ends of the beach, he and the Dutchman ponder their respective chances with Sally, using virtually the same words, but from vastly different perspectives.

Just A Dream: (Kristen Wilikens)
Emma and Maggie, in their jealousy, tease Sally that her cup hath run over in the male suitor category. But they admonish her to be careful and not get hurt.

Time: (John Patrick Schutz)
At dinner, Sally teases her father about his obsession with age. He replies to her in a whimsical, melancholy dissertation about time.
